Mightex’s market-leading Polygon DMD pattern illuminators provide precise spatiotemporal control of light with subcellular resolution, making them the perfect illumination tool for life science research. The Polygon UHC incorporates the latest in digital micromirror technology to achieve the greatest available contrast ratio of 10,000,000:1, unlocking countless research opportunities for the bioscience community.
The latest digital micromirror technology in the Polygon UHC achieves market-leading contrast ratio. That is, the greatest ratio of the light intensity of an all-on image to an all-off image. The higher the contrast, the better the background light can be suppressed.
The Polygon UHC can create optogenetic grid scans with a greater number of grids for higher spatial resolution circuit mapping. This allows the user to target optical stimulation more precisely to smaller regions of interest.
With the Polygon UHC, only the regions of interest are targeted by photo-stimulation, decreasing unwanted photoactivation of surrounding light sensitive areas in the tissue of interest.
The Polygon UHC produces more grey levels, leading to seamless optical intensity application. Further, this larger dynamic range is relevant for studies requiring fine control of low intensity stimulation parameters, such as retina-related studies.
The Polygon UHC can be seamlessly integrated with 2-photon microscopes allowing for easy transition between patterned stimulation and 2-photon imaging.
Our primary goal is to help you find the optimal solution for your research. We have a dedicated technical support and sales team committed to providing expert guidance on our Polygon models and other Mightex products.
